Optical Plasma Spectrometer: Regenerate your FAP
The plasma optical spectrometer, i.e.ICP-OES, or ICP-AES (optical emission spectrometry), is a versatile and precise instrument used in chemical laboratories for the determination of metals inside the catalyst.
The acronym ICP-OES stands for “Inductively Coupled Plasma – Optical Emission SpectroscopyThis definition identifies an analytical instrument capable of measuring the light (optical emission) produced by a liquid sample when introduced into an inductively coupled argon gas plasma. Through this mechanism it is possible quantify the metals contained in the sample measuring, for each one, the intensity of the light emitted with a specific optical bench (system of mirrors, lenses and gratings). For the determination in ICP-OES it is necessary to have samples in liquid form.
The ICP-OES (or ICP-AES) allows you to determine metals in highly variable concentrations and in multiple matrices, which is why it is currently the most versatile and innovative technique for determining metals within the catalyst and consequently also the fastest method for identifying the problem to be solved.
The area R&D Technology by CDR Italia, dedicated to the research and development of new technologies, is pleased to inform that it has introduced this new tool to analyse in more depth, not only particulate matter, but all the metals that damage your DPF/Catalyst.
